Production Support Associate – Plastics & Color Compounding
Are you hands-on, dependable, and ready to grow in a manufacturing career? We're looking for a Production Support Associate to assist with machine cleaning, material handling, and equipment operation in a high-demand plastic compounding facility. No previous machine experience is required—just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn!
Job Duties:
Clean extrusion and compounding machines during color changes to maintain quality and minimize contamination.
Support machine operators with material setup, troubleshooting, and basic adjustments.
Load, measure, and mix raw materials according to instructions.
Assist in general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Learn to operate extrusion, blending, and grinding equipment with on-the-job training.
Receive forklift training if needed for material transport.
Follow all safety guidelines and quality procedures.
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or leads.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus.
Comfortable working in warm, dusty conditions and fast-paced production settings.
Eagerness to learn machine operations and safety practices.
Ability to lift, move, and measure materials accurately.
Forklift experience is helpful—training will be provided if needed.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work overtime or shift variations if needed.
Job Details:
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.00 – $18.00/hour depending on experience
Overtime: May be available based on production needs
Work Environment: Indoor facility with exposure to heat and plastic dust
Dress Code: Long pants, closed-toed shoes, and a t-shirt required
