Direct Hire | Air Flow Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift
We are hiring an Airflow Quality Inspector to join our team and help ensure top-tier performance and product integrity. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing airflow systems and components to meet quality and safety standards. Job Duties:
Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and airflow equipment as necessary, such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as required
Clean parts using chemical degreaser and parts wash machine
Prep parts using foil tape and sealing wax
Perform and Document Scheduled Airflow test, including but not limited to Shut-off valve test, System leak test, and Flow restrictions test, and record results
Analyze and interpret test results
Load and unload parts for airflow, and or other testing as required
Perform and document the scheduled airflow test log and reports.
Documents actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system
Operate in accordance with AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
Effective communication and people skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality, Engineering, and Management
Dependability, integrity, cooperation, and taking the initiative for work responsibilities and challenges are critical.
Reliable attendance and a respectful demeanor are necessary
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
2+ years of prior experience with visual, airflow, and dimensional inspections of aerospace/gas turbine components required
Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap is a plus
Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry required
Ability to lift 30lbs
The ability to work efficiently with others or independently as required
Safety-conscious always
Reliable attendance within acceptable standards of the attendance policy
Complex problem solving with critical math skills
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in English
