SummaryArmada Staffing Group is hiring for a full-time 1st Shift Assembly position in Garrett, IN. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on assembly work in a manufacturing environment. Team members will assemble products using hand and power tools, verify quality standards, and ensure finished products meet specifications. Responsibilities
Prepare work for assembly by reviewing pick tickets, bills of materials (BOMs), and gathering required parts, components, and tools
Assemble components according to specifications and verify proper fit, function, and quality
Read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and assembly requirements
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process
Measure finished products and verify specifications using appropriate measuring tools
Perform quality inspections to ensure inbound and outbound products are accurate and free from defects
Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory control activities as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all workplace safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines
Communicate production issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Ability to follow written work instructions, blueprints, and diagrams
Must be able to pass a Math Test
Mechanically inclined with experience using hand and power tools
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to stand for extended periods at a workstation
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
