Summary
Responsible for managing annual and interim recertifications, new move-ins, and maintaining occupancy compliance.
Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Section 8 and Tax Credit program requirements.
Provides excellent customer service to residents and applicants while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Supports the Property Manager in marketing, leasing, and administrative operations.
Responsibilities
Complete Annual Recertifications (AR) and Initial Certifications (IC) in compliance with program regulations and deadlines.
Process move-ins, conduct applicant screenings, verify income and assets, and ensure 100% occupancy.
Manage Interim Recertifications (IR) within required timeframes, verifying any reported changes.
Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, maintaining resident files, and generating work orders.
Support resident relations by addressing minor concerns, assisting with notices, and ensuring a positive living environment.
Conduct unit inspections, prepare move-out documentation, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Desired Work Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of prior customer service experience; affordable housing or property management experience.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications: Must complete Fair Housing and Cybersecurity training annually.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Section 8 or Tax Credit properties.
Knowledge of HUD or LIHTC compliance standards.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
Physical Demands
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
May be required to walk long distances during property inspections or in various weather conditions.
Work Environment
Primarily office-based with moderate noise levels and controlled temperature.
Regular interaction with residents, applicants, and staff in a professional setting.

Monday to Friday
Occasional evenings or weekends as needed for property events or deadlines
