Our client is a growing company that works closely with customers and vendors to provide quality products and services. The company manufactures specialized products and equipment used to measure and monitor heat during the production and testing of materials such as ceramics, glass, and other high-temperature products. They also provide materials testing services. They are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to support order processing, purchasing, customer communication, and shipping coordination.

Summary:
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and assist with orders and inquiries.
Process sales orders, purchase orders, and related documentation accurately.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with vendors and logistics providers.
Arrange LTL and truckload shipments using third-party logistics companies.
Support multiple departments while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers by phone and provide assistance with orders and inquiries.
Enter and process customer sales orders accurately.
Prepare documentation required to process domestic and international sales orders.
Maintain and update customer information in company systems.
Follow up on overdue customer accounts as needed.
Enter and process purchase orders and assist with placing orders with vendors.
Maintain and update vendor information.
Coordinate shipment schedules with vendors and carriers.
Arrange and coordinate LTL and truckload shipments using third-party logistics companies (3PL).
Obtain freight rates and assist with coordinating incoming truck shipments.
Assist with arranging pickups and other logistics-related needs.
Provide support to additional departments as needed.
Participate in cross-training and assist with special projects.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in customer service and purchasing.
Previous experience with order processing and purchase orders.
Strong knowledge of LTL and truckload shipments.
Experience arranging freight shipments through a third-party logistics company (3PL) is required.
Experience coordinating shipment schedules with vendors and carriers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with purchasing or order processing software is preferred.
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
