Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of landscaping equipment and company vehicles.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical abilities and experience working with small engines and/or commercial equipment.
This position will work closely with the Service Manager to keep equipment and vehicles in safe, reliable working condition.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, dependable, organized, and take pride in the quality of their work.
This is a full-time position with some overtime and occasional Saturday hours.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of lawn care and small-engine equipment, from line trimmers and blowers to commercial zero-turn mowers.
Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repairs on Chevy trucks and company vehicles.
Repair and maintain company landscaping equipment as needed to minimize downtime.
Assist the Service Manager with vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Keep the shop clean, organized, and properly maintained to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
2–3 years of mechanical experience required, preferably with landscaping, lawn care, small-engine, or commercial equipment.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with small engines and various lawn care equipment is preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional overtime and rare Saturday hours.
Personal tools are a plus.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
