A well-established commercial property management company is seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Property Maintenance Assistant to help maintain multiple commercial properties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping facilities in great condition, and is looking for a flexible part-time schedule.This position will initially be part-time, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time floater role or a permanent position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of commercial buildings and surrounding grounds.
Perform basic repairs, including painting, patching, sanding, grouting, and minor maintenance tasks.
Complete porter duties such as trash removal, litter pickup, and maintaining clean common areas.
Assist with replacing ceiling tiles and performing interior and exterior property upkeep.
Help identify maintenance concerns and report issues to the Maintenance Technician.
Support preventative maintenance activities and basic troubleshooting of building systems under supervision.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Provide additional maintenance support as needed.
Qualifications
Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, or general labor experience is preferred.
Mechanically inclined with the willingness to learn.
Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
Strong work ethic with a proactive, "see it and fix it" attitude.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the day.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
