Job SummaryThe General Laborer supports day-to-day manufacturing operations by assisting with material preparation, production, finishing, cleanup, and movement of products throughout the facility. This is a hands-on position requiring someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing physical work in an industrial environment. Responsibilities
Assist with the manufacturing and preparation of refractory products
Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials and finished products
Assist production employees with molds, forms, and production setups
Measure, mix, pour, or handle production materials as directed
Remove finished products from molds and prepare molds for reuse
Perform basic grinding, cleaning, finishing, and material preparation
Use basic hand and power tools
Package, palletize, and prepare finished products for movement or shipment
Maintain clean and organized production and work areas
Perform general shop cleanup and housekeeping
Follow all plant, equipment, PPE, and safety procedures
Assist welders, fabricators, machine operators, and other production employees as needed
Perform other general manufacturing duties based on daily production needs
Requirements
Dependable and safety-conscious
Comfortable performing physical work in an industrial environment
Ability to perform material handling and production tasks
Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Good mechanical skills are ideal
Ability to follow safety and production procedures
