Warehouse Associate Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Job description:We are hiring Data Center Warehouse Associates for a global logistics company in Birmingham, MO (just outside of Kansas City, MO). These are temp-to-hire positions. Job Overview:The Data Center Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining effective material orders, providing exceptional customer service, and managing inventory. This role involves handling various customer material movement requests, assembling, and installing servers and electronic components using a variety of tools. The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills, critical thinking abilities, and experience with computers, electrical safety, and static discharge hazards. Tasks & Responsibilities:Material Handling:
Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
Regularly and repeatedly lifting 35 - 50 lbs.
Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, ensuring accurate part numbers, quantities, and pristine condition of materials.
Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site.
Process return shipments of various electronic components using multiple warehouse management systems.
Installation & Assembly:
Place server racks on the datacenter floor with 100% accuracy using laser measuring devices.
Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks following provided diagrams and schematics.
Install rack hardware using various hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
Equipment Operation:
Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks.
Maintenance & Safety:
Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S standards.
Adherence to OSHA guidelines
Push, pull, and lift frequently throughout the workday.
Deliverables & Achievables:
Daily adherence to safety and process procedures.
Punctuality and reliability.
Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Flexibility and ability to cross-train in multiple departments within the datacenter.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact regularly with customers and other stakeholders on site.
Ability to forge positive working relationships with different working groups.
Technical Skills:
Critical thinking abilities and good analytical skills for confident decision-making based on provided information and data.
Experience with computers is required.
Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols.
This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively, accurately, and efficiently to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Hours/Pay Rates and Shifts (Subject to Change Based on Availability):
A Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
B Shift: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM (Monday - Friday)
C Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:30 AM (Sunday - Thursday)
D Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Thursday - Sunday)
E Shift: 6:30 PM - 5:30 AM (Thursday - Sunday)
